Frequently asked Questions
Why are some pieces not repeated?
Each piece we create marks a moment in our journey. Our collections are intentionally small and evolving, designed to reflect what we are learning and exploring at that time. Once a piece has served its moment, we allow the journey to move forward.
Is every piece handmade?
Every design is created with care and intention, using traditional silversmithing techniques alongside ongoing learning and refinement.
Will collections change over time?
Yes. Journey Through Jewellery is shaped by growth and discovery. As the brand evolves, so too will the collections — guided by meaning, memory, and purpose.
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days. Made-to-order pieces require additional time for creation; this will be clearly stated on the product page. Tracking details are provided once an order has been dispatched.
Where do you ship?
Journey Through Jewellery currently ships throughout the United Kingdom, as well as to the United States and Canada.
All international orders are sent using Royal Mail International Tracked. At present, we do not ship to the European Union while the necessary compliance requirements are being finalised.
Will I need to pay customs or import charges?
For orders shipped to the United States, applicable duties are calculated and collected at checkout and are paid through our delivery service. Additional customs charges would not normally be expected upon delivery; however, any charges applied independently by customs or other authorities remain outside the control of Journey Through Jewellery.
For orders shipped to Canada, duties, taxes or other import charges are not collected at checkout and may be applied when your order enters Canada. Any such charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are determined by the relevant customs authorities.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Exchanges are not offered. Refunds may be considered in line with our Returns & Refunds policy. Please refer to that page for full details before placing an order.
What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your piece arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photographs of the item and its packaging. We will assess the issue and advise on the next steps.
How do I know my ring size?
Each ring is made in a specific size, which is clearly listed on the product page. If you are unsure of your ring size, we recommend having your finger measured by a local jeweller prior to purchasing. If you have questions about sizing before placing an order, please feel free to get in touch.
Are items reserved when added to my basket?
No. Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it. An order is only confirmed once payment has been successfully completed and a confirmation email has been sent. As many pieces are one of a kind, availability cannot be guaranteed until this point.
Why are some pieces hallmarked and others not?
In the UK, hallmarking is a legal requirement for silver jewellery over a certain weight. Some pieces may fall below this threshold and are therefore not required to be hallmarked, while others must be submitted for hallmarking before being sold. As Journey Through Jewellery grows, hallmarking is being introduced where legally required and where appropriate for the piece.

Will hallmarking affect the price of an item?
In some cases, yes. The hallmarking process involves additional steps, time, and fees, which may be reflected in the final price of certain pieces. Where a piece has been hallmarked, this will be clearly stated in the product description.
Is hallmarking optional?
Hallmarking is not optional where it is legally required. All pieces that meet the legal criteria will be hallmarked in accordance with UK regulations before being offered for sale. Pieces that do not require hallmarking may be sold without a hallmark, but are still made using solid sterling silver and the same careful process.
If you have any questions about hallmarking or the materials used, please feel free to get in touch before placing an order.
